Teachers are BUSY! We all know it.
Between grading, assessments, lesson planning, conferences, staff meetings, behavior management, data collection, and finding time to eat, sleep, and be with family, our lives can get pretty hectic.
As teachers, it is our job to try to teach all of our standards in a way that is meaningful and engaging. We are asked to differentiate, assess, and document in addition to teaching important lessons.
And let’s face it: SO often social studies lessons get pushed to the wayside in favor of other (important) subjects like literacy and math. While those subjects are SUPER important, social studies is also a crucial subject for student success.
Have you ever thought…
- Where did my day go? I planned a great social studies lesson but now I have no time for it!
- The social studies curriculum I was provided with is dry and boring! My kids are going to hate this.
- I don’t have time to plan a whole lesson on [subject]! I need something that I can print fast!
